Logging in to the B2B2B catalogue and assigning access (for Inter Cars users)
1. If you are a customer using the B2B2B catalogue
Go to the Catalogue page — the login window will appear. If you do not have an account, select Create an account and fill in the appropriate fields.
After creating an account you will receive an email containing an activation link. Click it to activate your account.
Log in to the Catalogue so your sales representative can see the link between your email address and the corresponding Catalogue. Then contact your sales representative, who will grant you the appropriate permissions so you can use all the Catalogue functions. Once you have the permissions, you can log in to your Catalogue.
2. If you are responsible for assigning access to the B2B2B catalogue
When a new user creates an account, all you need to do is go to GC.CART, find this user and the buyer linked to them, then change the Buyer type from B2C to B2B.
To block the user from the Catalogue, change the buyer type from B2B back to B2C — the user linked to this buyer will no longer be able to log in.
Remember:
- Each separate B2B buyer must have a separate Number in ERP defined.
- Fill in the Email field if you want to use templates and send order-confirmation emails to your address.
Creating new B2B2B users in GC.CART only (for Inter Cars operators)
It is possible to create B2B users using GC.CART only — without entering GC.AUTH and without confirming email addresses.
To define a new buyer (business identity), go to Buyers, click the plus icon, set the buyer as B2B, define its name and its Number in ERP, then click the save icon. This is the minimum information the system needs for a buyer.
The lower part of the window then lets you add users (email addresses) connected to this buyer. Click the plus icon.
You can select an existing user from the list or add a new user (email address).
If you click the add icon, a window appears where you can define the new user with their first and last name. Click the save icon.
The lower part of the window now shows the list of buyers linked to this user. Click the plus icon to link the user to the buyer you just created.
Select the buyer (business identity) on whose behalf the user will buy products in your catalogue, and click OK.
The buyer and user are now linked — but the user needs a password to enter the catalogue. You can create the password in GC.CART: open the Users tab, select the user, click the Create a new password icon, copy it and send it to the user. Passwords are generated randomly; there is no option to set them manually here.
The user is now ready and can enter your catalogue with the password you provided. If the user does not want to use this password, they can go to the catalogue and click I forgot my password to set a new one.
If your user forgets their password and asks you to change it, go to GC.CART and click the Create a new password icon again — the new password will work with this email address from then on.
