FTP data integration — for Inter Cars shops
For some shops cooperating with Inter Cars, it is possible to use a hybrid pricing model in the webshops. General prices for goods are obtained from Inter Cars sources (with certain business assumptions). However, some shops can overwrite certain prices manually.
For example, a workshop gets the price for GDB1330 (product code 9A7129) from Inter Cars at €15, but the shop wants to sell the product for €20. In that case, the webshop can send a specific prices.csv file (this exact file name must be used) to its FTP storage in Inter Cars, where the price of this product is set to €20.
When prices are checked and changed in the night process, then for the products set in such a file the Inter Cars prices (€15) are skipped and the prices from the file (€20) are displayed in the webshop.
Warning
Notice 1: If you send the file during the day, you will not see the price changes until the next price-and-availability check (usually the night process).
Notice 2 (important): A price changed this way stays fixed and is displayed in the webshop until you send a new prices.csv file. If you simply delete the file, the webshop will still display the prices from the deleted file. To change those prices, send a new prices.csv with the new prices, or send a prices.csv with at least one product listed: the prices from the previous file that are not used in the new file stop being hybrid, and the webshop shows the Inter Cars prices again.
You store your prices.csv in this location on your FTP storage. Do not put it inside the [from_ic] folder.

A similar process can be used for webshops that wish to show their own availability levels (the availability.csv file for this).
