Who and how
We met in 2001 at the same company. Tomasz Jachimkowski, Marcin Łukasik and Klaudiusz Witoszek — three engineers united by the same approach to work: do it well or don't do it at all.
For several years we built software for business. We know how to talk to a client. How to bring a project to completion, not just to the first release. How to maintain a system that needs to work for the next decade, or even decades.
In 2016 we decided to do it together, on our own terms. That's how GearCode was born.
The fact that we've stuck together for so long is our value. Each of us is different and brings something different. Together it creates cumulative value. The same goes for the people we have been collaborating with for years within GearCode.
Three principles we stick to
The same team from start to finish
With us, the analyst who talks with you at the first meeting stays in the project. The developers who write the first line of code are the same ones maintaining the system three years later. Over ten years, turnover in our team has been below 2% per year — meaning the people who start your project are the same ones who finish it.
We build our own products
GC.Platform, AI.Assistant — these are our own systems, which we have been maintaining ourselves for years. We know what it means to be with a client at three in the morning when the situation demands it. We know what data migration in a running store means. We bring that knowledge to every custom project.
Specialisation instead of spreading thin
We don't do everything for everyone. We know automotive and the TECDOC database. We know enterprise e-commerce. We know Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. We have expert competencies in Oracle databases and our own AI team. In these areas we are at home — and it shows in the pace of work and the quality of decisions.
