GC.Platform — the product

What is GC.Platform?

GC.Platform is an e-commerce platform for distribution companies operating with extensive product catalogues and requiring ERP integrations. It combines the product catalogue, B2B and B2C order system, the Master Data Management layer for product data, and the administrative panel — into one coherent ecosystem.

We have most of our deployments in the automotive industry — mainly due to the native TecDOC integration and the specifics of matching parts to vehicles. But the architecture of GC.Platform is industry-neutral and works just as well wherever the following matter: fast attribute-based search, price tiering for different customer types, integrations with ERP systems and handling of large SKU bases. The platform currently serves over 30 distributor brands in 17 European countries.

Will GC.Platform work outside the automotive industry?

Yes. While the largest part of our portfolio consists of customers from automotive parts distribution, GC.Platform is designed as an industry-neutral platform. It works wherever the following are important: rich product catalogues, price tiering for different customer types (B2B/B2C, distributors/workshops/end customer), integration with ERP systems and high SEO requirements for product catalogues. Industry-specific aspects are tailored in the implementation analysis phase.

Why don't you offer GC.Platform in the B2C model with TecDOC in Europe?

In the B2C automotive segment in Europe, we have an exclusivity agreement with Inter Cars — our long-standing partner and one of the largest automotive parts distributors in the region. This means that we currently don't serve new customers in this specific segment (B2C, automotive, European market).

The exclusivity does not cover:

  • •B2B sales in automotive
  • •markets outside Europe
  • •industries other than automotive

In these segments we are fully available to new customers.

Partnership model and costs

How much does GC.Platform cost?

We sell GC.Platform in the SaaS model. The monthly fee is an agreed percentage of net turnover handled through the platform — the exact rate is negotiated individually. The minimum monthly fee is EUR 1,000 net. It covers the cloud infrastructure and system maintenance; it does not include the cost of AI tokens or TecAlliance licences (TecDOC, YQ Service), which are on the customer's side.

The one-off implementation fee is agreed separately — its amount depends on the scope of adapting the platform to the project's needs. Additional work outside the standard scope is billed at the rate of EUR 500 net per man day.

How long does the GC.Platform implementation take?

Implementation time depends primarily on the scope of adaptation needed for the customer's specifics — mainly on the ERP integration side, product data imports and custom requirements. In practice, implementations within the standard GC.Platform modules we deliver in a few weeks. Projects with extensive integrations or special requirements may take longer.

We agree on the specific schedule in the analysis phase, before we start technical work.

Does GC.Platform work in headless mode?

Backend GC.Platform — including GC.Platform API (catalogue), CART API (orders) and AUTH API (login) — exposes REST APIs that can be used with the customer's own frontend. Integration API has public documentation dedicated to integrations with ERP systems. We also deliver the GC.Catalog frontend by default — optimised for the performance of automotive product catalogues.

Data and security

Where do you host GC.Platform data?

We use three regions: Microsoft Azure in Poland, Microsoft Azure in Germany and Oracle Cloud in Germany. We store transactional and configuration data in Azure SQL, product data (MDM layer) — in Oracle Cloud. Traffic from your platform's customers is handled by Cloudflare as the edge layer.

What happens to my data if I end the cooperation?

After the contract ends, your data is returned to you or permanently deleted, according to the decision you make as the data controller — within 30 days of cooperation ending. We confirm the deletion with a protocol within the following 14 days.

The procedure details are described in the data processing agreement we sign with every customer in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

AI.Assistant

Is AI.Assistant part of GC.Platform, or a separate product?

AI.Assistant is a GC.Platform module — and as such is natively part of the ecosystem, available to platform customers. AI.Assistant is also available as a standalone product detached from GC.Platform (similarly to other elements, e.g. GC.MDM). We invite collaboration on this front from other product catalogue providers, especially those implementing TecDoc data.
