Inter Motors
Motorcycle e-commerce — two different search modes in one store
A motorcycle customer searches for two completely different things: a part that must fit their machine exactly — and a jacket that must fit them exactly.

Challenge
A motorcycle parts shop and a motorcycle clothing shop are two different worlds. The first requires catalogue precision — a specific model, a specific year, a specific part, with no tolerance for error. The second requires sizing precision — the right size, colour, fit to the rider's build and riding style, with all the subjectivity that entails.
Inter Motors sells both. The same customer, in the same shopping session, first looks for an air filter for their Kawasaki, then a helmet in size L in a colour that matches their bike. The frontend must handle both scenarios seamlessly — without forcing the user to think about which section of the store they're currently in.
What we built
For Inter Motors we deliver a complete motorcycle e-commerce solution with two cooperating search paths. The motorcycle parts section works on precisely matched TECDOC data — the customer selects their motorcycle, the system narrows the catalogue to parts that fit it. Clothing and accessories have their own search approach — based on sizing, colour and product characteristics.
Both paths run on the same backend platform, but the customer uses a frontend designed specifically for the motorcycle industry — with its own visual identity, navigation and interface logic tailored to how motorcyclists shop online.

What our partners say
“Our customers expect simplification of two key paths in the store: precise search for motorcycle parts and intuitive browsing of helmets and clothing. The priority was to create a coherent, clear frontend that reduces complexity and shortens the time to purchase decision. GearCode designed and implemented a solution fully tailored to our processes and product structure.”
