Challenge
Inter Cars is one of the largest automotive parts distributors in Europe and the undisputed leader in Central and Eastern Europe. B2C sales at this scale is not ordinary e-commerce — it's a system that at the same moment serves thousands of users in eight countries, and each of them must be answered the same question: does this part fit exactly to my car?
Most of the industry tries to solve this problem through ever-better search — fuzzy search, vector search, suggestions. It's a dead end. In automotive 'similar' means 'wrong'. A customer who receives an oil filter 'almost fitting' their Ford will not come back.
What we built
For Inter Cars we deliver a complete B2C platform based on our GC.Platform. A dedicated frontend, a backend processing orders from all sales channels — including marketplaces such as Allegro — integrations with ERP systems and data feed from TECDOC through MDM, which we have also been developing for Inter Cars for years.
But the heart of this solution is something no one else on the market does: AI.Assistant guides the customer through a conversation rather than returning search results. Instead of guessing a 'probable product', it asks further questions: what year? which engine version? which body type? It arrives at the exact part — the one correct part. Not 'similar'. That one.
AI.Assistant operates today on all Inter Cars B2C websites — on intercars.pl and in all seven other countries.
