Product search by number

Text search of products by number, OE numbers, by EAN code, etc. is always possible from the menu at the top of the page. In order to limit the number of results, you can use the restrictions shown in the images (Show:Everywhere/Number/Numbers (including OE), EAN), and also set only the exact search by the entered phrase.

Let's illustrate this with an example. A customer is looking for a product on whose packaging he saw the following number:

True, the product you are looking for is at the top of the search results, but the search results show a lot of other products that have links to this particular number through technical description, cross references, OE number, etc.

Limiting the search to a range: Number and setting Search: Exact will reduce the number of products searched.

Of course, searching by range: Everywhere and not setting the Exact option can also have its advantages. For example, below you can see that for a phrase with two spelling errors, the catalog is also able to show the correct results. (typed: " breake floid" - searched for "brake fluid")

Vehicle selection

You can search for a vehicle in a number of ways. In addition to the most obvious way, i.e. selecting Make/Model/Type, you can use the search by the most popular makes, by VIN number (if you have an agreement with the supplier of such data), or, for example, a text search like "passat b8", which very much limits the number of results shown for your search convenience.

Let's show searching by popular makes as an example:

If we select Audi from the list of popular makes, set the year of production and engine power, it significantly speeds up the selection of a vehicle often and then avoids scrolling through long lists of vehicle types, and most often we are left with one or at most several vehicles to select from..

The image below shows sample search results for the selected vehicle.
The selected vehicle is shown above the search results so that the user is aware of the vehicle for which parts are being matched.
Filters are shown on the left side, with the help of which you can narrow down the results. You can also narrow the results by clicking on the filter values shown directly on a specific product.
On the right side, tabs are available: Details, Cross references, Used in.
Directly above the search results on the left side, a button is available to change the options for displaying the results (simplified view and normal view). On the right side, in turn, it is possible to select the price shown (net/gross) or available currencies.

Let's see an interesting and useful feature available for many product groups. Selecting "Water Pump" for a specific vehicle type, for example, will instantly show you in filters section a category "Belt set", which is often searched together with “water pump” category. Similarly, selecting the “Maintenance service parts” category will immediately show the most frequently selected air filters, oil filters, oil, etc. for a given vehicle on one screen. This saves search time for the selected vehicle type.

For your search convenience, the catalog offers necessary dedicated search engines, such as for tires, oils or batteries. For example, by specifying key criteria you can easily find matching tires.
