FTP DATA INTEGRATION – FOR INTERCARS SHOPS
For some shops cooperating with InterCars it is possible to use hybrid model of pricing in the webshops. General prices for goods are obtained from InterCars sources (with certain business assumptions).
However, some shops have possibility to overwrite manually certain prices.
For example, a workshop gets the price for GDB1330 (Product code: 9A7129) from InterCars at 15EUR.
But the shop wants to sell the product for 20EUR.
In such a case, a webshop can send to his FTP storage in InterCars a specific “prices.csv” file (such name of file must be used to make it work) where the price of this product is set to 20EUR.
When the prices are checked and changed in the night process, then for products set in such a file the prices from InterCars will be skipped (15EUR) and the prices from this file (20EUR) will be displayed in the webshop.
NOTICE 1: IF You send such a file during a day, You will not see the changes in prices until the next price and availability check takes place (usually in the night process)
IMPORTANT NOTICE 2: The price for product changed in this way will be the same and unchangeable and displayed in the webshop till the time when You send a new “prices.csv” file. For, example, if You delete this “prices.csv” file, the webshop will still display the prices from the deleted file. To change those prices, You will need to send a new “prices.csv” file with new prices for those products or send a “prices.csv” file with at least one product listed in it. Then, the prices from the previous “prices.csv” but not used in a new file sent to FTP system will be not hybrid anymore and the webshop will show InterCars prices again.
You store You “prices.csv” in this place on Your FTP storage. You do not put it inside [from_ic] catalog

The 20EUR price for GDB1330 (9A7129) shown in the webshop as a result of prices.csv file.

The similar process can be used for webshops who wish to show own availability levels (“availability.csv” file for this).
