Promoted Products Functionality
The functionality allows businesses to promote selected products on their website. We can choose which products to promote and determine where they will be displayed on the site. Additionally, we have the ability to select different "groups" or "statuses" that define where your products will be shown. For example, if you want your promoted products to be displayed in the 'MOTORCYCLE FULL-FACE HELMETS' category, you can choose the group 'A~5010749~93519'. If you want the products to be displayed in 'Sales', you can select the status 'N~7904'.
There is also an option of 'inheritance' for promoted products in other categories, for example:

If we set the promoted products to the 'Clothes and Accessories' group and enable inheritance, then the promotions will appear in the 'Coveralls' and 'Two-piece Suit' groups as well. However, if inheritance is disabled, the promoted products will only appear in the 'Clothes and Accessories' category.

Overview of Promoted Products Management Panel
In this section, we will discuss the Promoted Products Management Panel (referred to as the 'panel' for short). Below, we can see an example list of promotions:
What does the panel consist of?
- First column: This column displays the promotion status (enabled or disabled). Clicking on the icon allows you to change the status.
- 'ID': Here you can find the ID of the group, status, or search engine in which the promoted products are displayed.
- 'Name': The name of the group (if available).
- 'Type': The type (group, status, or search engine).
- 'Start date': The date from which the promotion will be displayed. It allows for setting promotions in advance.
- 'Expiration date': Specifies when the promotion will expire and no longer be displayed in the catalog.
- 'Include subgroups': Allows for displaying the promotion banner in subcategories as well.
- 'Don't show when vehicle selected': Controls the display of the promotion depending on whether the user has selected a vehicle.
- Last columns: These icons allow you to manage the panel: 'Edit', 'Delete', 'Add Product', 'Show Products'.
Adding a New Promotion
To add new promotions and take advantage of all the benefits of the management panel, click on the green 'Add' button located in the top right area of the panel. You will likely encounter a window like this:
Options available when adding a new promotion:
- First row: Specify the condition for displaying the promotion.
- Then, in the field below, enter the code for a specific group or status. If you have chosen a search engine, select a specific option from the list.
- 'Include subgroups' option: Allows for displaying the promotion in subcategories of the selected group.
- 'Don't show when vehicle selected' option: Determines whether the promotion should be shown when the user has selected a vehicle (by selecting this option, the promotion will NOT be shown when a vehicle is selected).
- In the next line, define the start date and expiration date of the promotion.
- 'Active': Specifies the status of the promotion, i.e., whether it should be active upon creation (allows creating the promotion and activating it manually later).
Adding New Products
The default option is to add products using the search engine. After clicking the add products button, the following window will appear:
Here, in the 'Item index' field, enter the item index. After a moment, a list of products will appear, and you can select the desired option and click 'Add'. The product has now been added to the promotion. The window does not close because you can add multiple products this way. To close the window, click 'Close', and the page will reload, displaying the added products. Example below:

After typing 'oc90', a list of products will appear, and you can select the desired product.
The management panel also allows you to add multiple products at once.
To use this option, switch to the 'Add multiple items' tab, as shown below:

In the text field, enter a list of product IDs (IMPORTANT: the products should be separated by commas). Below is an example of a correctly filled query.

After clicking 'Add', all four products will be added.
